MOTORISTS can get help and advice from a Somerset group that held its official launch last week.
Somerset Speeding – somersetspeeding.co.uk – is the brainchild of AmicusLaw Solicitors, which has offices in Taunton, Yeovil, Bridgwater and Minehead.
Its aim is to provide advice and information to motorists, which is not always readily available, including a weekly Tweet - @amicusspeeding - identifying the county’s mobile speed camera locations.
The group also wants to be the voice of Somerset motorists by having a say on future plans for drivers such as new EU proposals to fit speed restrictors to vehicles and the recent Government crackdown on thoughtless driving.
Guests at the launch reception at Wellington Motors Nissan included the Mayor of Taunton Deane, Cllr Libby Lisgo.
They were welcomed by AmicusLaw partner Richard Haste, who spoke about customer service and congratulated Wellington Motors on recently winning a national award for their work in that area.
