A CHARITY dedicated to providing a range of activities to people with disabilities, has received a donation of £1,000 from charity the British Driving Society.
James Holyday, chairman of the Conquest Centre at Norton Fitzwarren, was presented with the four-figure cheque by Kathleen Hill of the British Driving Society.
The British Driving Society is a horse and carriage driving group, with bases all over the country.
During 2013, several events were held to raise the money, including an evening talk with Deb Criddle, a member of the British Paralympic dressage team; several raffles, a collection at Asda in Wellington and a cake sale.
