A CONFECTION of cakes, mince pies and other seasonal treats enticed staff and customers at Lloyds in Taunton Fore Street to part with their pennies and pounds in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society.
The team raised £370 on the day, taking their year’s total up to £1,400 for the year for the cause.
The charity event is part of the bank’s broader scheme to raise money and awareness of the disease.
Manager Bryn Henson, said: “The Alzheimer’s Society is Lloyds’ charity for the year, and we’re keen to raise awareness of dementia with our customers.
“It’s also an issue the prime minister is keen to make people more aware of.”
