COMMUNITY spirit shone throughout Watchet last week when the Watchet Mothers’ Club held their Christmas Coffee Morning to help raise money for a local boy undergoing Leukaemia treatment.
Little Harvey Henderson, five-years-old, was diagnosed earlier this year and now faces at least three years of treatment.
The Mothers’ Club held the coffee morning on Thursday (December 12) to raise funds for Harvey for his family to buy something special for him.
Anne Reader, club secretary said: “It was amazing, we were overwhelmed by all of the support and how much money we managed to raise.
“Thank you to the community and the school for all your support.”
The morning managed to raise nearly £900, which will be spent on a new bed for Harvey.
