FRIENDS and family of a father who died suddenly outside a gym in Taunton said he 'thought the world of his kids'.
Gareth Davies, 32, also known as Ruff, of West Buckland, was found in his car outside Wellsprings Gym following a workout last Thursday.
He leaves behind his two-month-old son Alfie and step daughter Ellie, who is four.
His sister Laura said: “We all loved Gareth so much and we will really miss him.”
Gareth was a keen kickboxer and cagefighter and worked at Precision Paint in Wellington.
He was also a keen footballer, helping to set up the Old Inn side, which plays in the Taunton Sunday League, around ten years ago.
West Somerset coroner Michael Rose has opened a formal investigation into the cause of Gareth's death pending further medical tests.
Gareth's funeral will take place on Saturday at Taunton Crematorium at 2pm. Family request no flowers and donations will go towards a trust fund for his two children.
