M5 crash victim from Plymouth - police

A MOTORIST killed in a crash on the M5 between Tiverton and Wellington yesterday (December 22) was a man from Plymouth, police have confirmed.

Avon and Somerset Police said the man, in his 50s, died in the collision between junctions 27 and 26 northbound.

A car is reported to have left the motorway and careered down an embankment shortly before 4pm.

Officers are keen to hear from anybody who saw the incident - call 101 with any information.
