A MAN was stabbed several times in a Taunton street in broad daylight yesterday (Sunday, December 29).
The victim received "several puncture stab wounds" during the incident in Waterleaze at around midday, according to a police spokesman.
He was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, for treatment, but his injuries are "not life-threatening", the spokesman said.
A witness who lives in the street described the incident outside his house on Facebook.
He said: "Some car stopped in the middle of the road, bloke got out of the car after being stabbed.
"Forensics outside and there was lots of police."
The police spokesman said a 33-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm is currently in custody at Taunton Police Station.
