A KIND-HEARTED customer won a trolley dash at Sainsbury’s in Taunton – and then donated his winnings to two charities.
Derek Smalley selected a bottle of whiskey for himself and then donated the rest of his £250 winnings to Open Door and Taunton Foodbank.
Store manager Richard Treharne said: “This is a generous act of thoughtfulness at a time when people really need it.”
The supermarket holds the trolley dash each Christmas to support its local charity partner, which this year was St Margaret’s Hospice.
