JENNY Bridle is the new deputy chief executive of the Community Council for Somerset (CCS).
Jenny joins CCS, which supports action in local communities across Somerset, from a large further education college and prior to this role she held senior management positions in investment banking and corporate finance.
She said: “I’m delighted to be joining CCS and promoting the importance of rural communities and the valuable contribution they make to Somerset.”
CCS chief executive Katherine Armstrong said: “She brings a wealth of experience in finances and management and has a clear passion for Somerset’s communities having been a parish council chair in the past.
"I very much look forward to working with Jenny to continue and develop the work we are doing.”
Jenny replaces Karen White, who had worked for the organisation for 15 years.
