BUILDING work could start soon on 300 homes at Nerrols Farm, north-east of Taunton.

Landowners the Crown Estate are advertising for a developer to put up the properties as part of the first phase of a scheme for 630 homes.

Permission was granted over a year ago for the scheme, which will also include shops, a primary school and play spaces.

630 homes? Where is the infrastructure? Secondary school places? Doctors spaces? Hospital beds? Roadspace? Postmen? What's the betting it will be 630 shoebox sized houses with no parking and a Tesco Express.
