PEOPLE in police custody in Devon and Cornwall are commendably well cared for, according to a new report.
Devon and Cornwall was the last Home Office force inspected as part of a national programme of inspections.
It covered custody suites in Exeter, Barnstaple, Torquay, Camborne, Newquay, Launceston and Plymouth Crownhill.
Inspectors also visited four non-designated suites at Exmouth, St Austell, Falmouth and St Mary’s.
Some areas of excellent practice were discovered but some areas still needed to be addressed.
