A FITNESS instructor from West Somerset has signed up to run in the London Marathon to raise money for the national charity Phab Kids.
Kelly McClelland, from Washford, will be participating in the event on Sunday, April 13, in aid of the charity.
Kelly, 21, who works as a fitness instructor for 1610 in Minehead, said: “I ran in the Bath Half Marathon last year and really enjoyed it so, this year, I wanted to challenge myself even more.
“My training is going well and I’m increasing the number of miles I run each week to build up my stamina. I’m hoping to complete the race in less than 4.5 hours.”
Phab is a national charity dedicated to the integration of people with and without physical disabilities in the community.
Kelly added: “I am hoping to raise £1,700 for Phab Kids by running in the marathon.”
