WEST Somerset College has had to postpone the run of its musical at the Regal Theatre this week (February 5-7) due to the continued bad weather conditions and forecast.

A spokesperson for the college said: "Whilst this is disappointing news, we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all staff, students and audience members both in attending the show and being able to get home.

"The head of Expressive Arts, Mark Westwood, subject leader for Drama Sarah Westwood, and Lewis Lintern from the Regal have worked tirelessly with the cast of highly talented students to secure a high quality, fantastic run of performances which will continue to be polished in the lead up to the new dates."

The new arrangements are as follows:

  • Tuesday - March 4 - Evening Show
  • Wednesday - March 4 - Evening Show
  • Thursday - March 4 - Evening Show

Tickets are transferable to these new dates via the Regal Box Office,  contact the box office directly to confirm your preferred dates in the new run on 01643-706430.

The spokesperson added: "We apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, please be assured that the safety of the students, staff and public are always our primary consideration.

"If you have not yet managed to book tickets for this run please do take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to watch the skills and talents of our students and staff.

"Thank you for you continued support."
