A TEACHING assistant who has touched the lives of hundreds of youngsters has retired.
Elaine Rae worked at Bishop’s Hull Primary School for just over 26 years.
She still works at the school one morning a week on a volunteer basis and head teacher Rob Bullock described her as a ‘wonderful, loyal servant’.
He added: “We were sorry to see her go but so glad she is able to come back for one morning a week. She has such a warm, gentle, encouraging and supportive personality and understands the children.”
