Police are becoming increasingly concerned over the welfare of a pensioner from Tavistock who has been missing from his home for several days. 

The alarm was arised on Thursday and an appeal has been put out for sightings of 76-year-old Alistair Conhey. 

He was reported missing from the Silent Lady Park area of Tavistock, after neighbours became concerned that they had not seen him for more than a week. 

Police have now issued a description of Mr Conhey, who is around 6ft tall with short, white hair. 

He is said to be unshaven and may have a dishevelled appearance.

He is believed to be wearing a blue fleece, a tan coat, black trousers and black shoes.

Mr Conhey may have a dog with him that answers to the name of Rory.

He is being classed as "high risk and vulnerable" due to his age and medical issues. 

Anyone seeing Mr Conhey, or with any sightings or information as to his whereabouts, is asked to call police immediately on 999 quoting ref. 289 of 13 February 2014.
