A SHOPLIFTER stole three boxed TV sets from the Asda store in Creechbarrow Road, Taunton.

Police have issued a CCTV picture of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the theft at 10.50pm on Friday, January 24.

Anyone who knows the identity of the man should call Halcon beat manager PC Adrian Johnson at Taunton Police Station on 101.

Alternatively, if anyone knows anything about the theft, they should contact PC Johnson on the same phone number.

The thrust of the comment is to jokingly draw attention to the delay in the police drawing public attention to the theft of three TV sets: a delay which may well result from the deployment of resources on road traffic matters - easy pickings - rather than thefts etc.
