POLICE investigating at Showerings jewellery store in Taunton on Saturday March 1.
TWO men have been arrested following an attempted robbery at a jewellery shop in central Taunton on Saturday afternoon.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson confirmed that a 49 year-old man from Luton in Bedfordshire, and a 52 year-old man from Oxfordshire, were currently being questioned in custody.
Police were alerted to an incident at the Showerings jewellery shop in St James St, Taunton at 2.15pm on Saturday March 1, in which a 72 year-old man was injured.
Witnesses, or anyone with information relating to the incident, are asked to call the police incident number on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
