A WOMAN was freed from a car wreck in Burrowbridge today (March 11) and taken to hospital on a spinal board.
The fire service received a call from ambulance crews reporting the crash at Stanmoor Road at around 2pm.
Two fire teams from Bridgwater and the rescue tender from Taunton attended the single vehicle crash to find a woman trapped inside.
A fire service spokesman said: " Fire crews extricated the casualty using a spinal board and assisted Ambulance with transporting the casualty to the Ambulance. Fire crews made the vehicle safe and left the incident in the hands of Police and Ambulance."
