AN ambulance service spokesman said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
He added: "We were called by police who found a middle-aged man in the road.
"One ambulance attended and the casualty was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton but there are currently no details of his condition or injuries."
AVON and Somerset Police said a man was involved in the incident and was found by a farm gateway.
They were aware of the incident but did not attend as ambulance crews dealt with the matter.
The County Gazette is waiting for a response from a spokesman for South-West Ambulance Service.
A FARMER has been hit by a car on Windmill Hill in North Curry this morning (March 12), according to an eye witness.
Dan Jones told the County Gazette that a farmer was unconscious on the side of the road.
He said there were other people were at the scene.
