SPEAKING skills were put to the test at Dulverton Middle School who hosted this year’s Exmoor Rotary Club Junior Public Speaking Competition.
Nine teams entered in total, with Dulverton’s Ben Summersgill speaking on the subject of ‘Horses in Sport’.
He was supported by his chairperson Flo Mullet and Katelynn Bellamy who proposed the vote of thanks.
‘Cats verses Dogs’ was the topic of Dulverton’s other team.
Mrs Daughtrey added: “Gabi Onody presented a detailed, informative and humorous look at which makes the best pet.
“Bethany Norman chaired the team, and Freya Broomfield thanked Gabi and invited the audience to show their appreciation.”
Bolham Primary, from Devon, were the eventual winners, with a speech on Lego. T
hey go on to represent the area in the next round in Exeter.
