The prayer garden.
A COMMUNITY prayer garden has opened at Bathpool Chapel off the A38.
Plans for the prayer garden began in 2008 thanks to a donation from former parishioner Mavis Clarkson and an initial design by one of her daughters.
The church raised money through its monthly coffee mornings and other events and donations. Local firms and individuals gave most of the materials for the garden.
Pastor Grace Applebee led a ceremony to celebrate the garden’s completion.
It offers numerous chairs and stools for relaxing, contemplation and prayer, as well as five plaques of cedar engraved with scriptures dotted around the garden as focal points for prayer and inspiration.
