A TAUNTON charity is in a race against time to raise £20,000 to fund a film aimed at reducing violence among young people.

Stand Against Violence is making a series of short videos highlighting the impact of one mindless episode of violence – one scene investigates the consequences of a school fight on the perpetrator and his family, the victim, the school, police and paramedics and friends.

Adam Fouracre, who set up SAV following the murder of his brother, Lloyd, by drunken louts in Taunton in September 2005 on the eve of his 18th birthday, says he has already raised £4,000 for the film through donations and fundraising.

But he needs to reach the target in under six weeks.

In return for pledges, people can win a reward depending on the amount, including signed albums from the charity’s ambassadors Rizzle Kids and even meeting them in person.

Adam claims that SAV has helped reduce violence and bullying across the UK through educational projects and resources.
