DOZENS of people are expected to attend a meeting to discuss plans for 70 homes in Milverton.

Notaro wants to build homes and a children’s play area at Creedwell Orchard – a saga which has rumbled on for more than 30 years – and the parish council has arranged an extraordinary meeting.

It is inviting members of the public to have their say on the proposals in the Victoria Rooms from 7pm on Monday (April 28).

The council will then formulate an official response and pass on to Taunton Deane Council before May 5.

As reported in the County Gazette, the developer, who has historic detailed planning permission dating to 1979, submitted fresh plans to Taunton Deane Council last month.

An action group voiced concerns over the size of the proposed development and around 150 people viewed plans at a public exhibition.
