PICTURED are the group of Taunton School sixth formers who won the Youth Award at the Somerset County Drama Festival at the Warehouse Theatre in Ilminster.

On top of the overall win, students Daisy Tucker, Dea Gagoshidze and Imogen Henry were nominated for individual acting awards and the whole play received a nomination for the best costume design.

The students have now been selected to represent Somerset in the Five Counties Drama Final.

Headmaster, Dr John Newton, said: “I am so impressed with the focused, professional approach of our pupils and super support they receive from our staff.

“I congratulate all involved as it shows the strength, range and depth of drama at Taunton School.”
