THE County Gazette is once again teaming up with the Rotary Club of Taunton to support the 50/50 cycle ride.
The ride aims to help raise money for local charities and this year’s event will be held on Sunday, June 22.
Entrants can choose to tackle routes from 10km to 56km, or a more family friendly 2.6km route at Longrun Meadows.
The event is different (if not unique) in that it offers riders the option of donating 50% of their sponsor monies to a charity of their own choice - plus the chance to win prizes for the individual, school and organisation that raises the most money.
Last year over 25 different charities raised money, including St Margaret’s Hospice, Musgrove Leukaemic Group, SURE, League of Friends, Taunton District Scouts and Bibic.
