BUSINESS students from Taunton have been rewarded by the Chamber of Commerce in recognition of their achievements.

Chamber president Colin Barrell presented the awards to Lauren Underhill and Szymon Goscik (Bishop Fox’s); Victoria Shattock (Castle School); Amelia Davies (Heathfield) and Adam Snow (Taunton Academy).

Colin said: “In our four Taunton comprehensive schools, we have students all doing Business Studies very successfully which, we hope, they might carry onward to further education.

“We, as a Chamber, regard it as essential that the Taunton business community, through these awards, encourages and supports the next generation of business people.”

As well as these awards, the Chamber also presents bursary awards to business students at Richard Huish as well as supporting and assisting students through Young Enterprise scheme.
