PLAYERS served up a treat at Wiveliscombe Tennis Club, with a mix of generations producing inspiring sport.

Keen players of all ages enjoyed two doses of doubles with Tony Baker and youngster Jonti Ruell taking the honours in the club’s first Doubles Generation Tournament.

The event teamed one under-16 player with an adult as part of the nationwide Great British Tennis Weekend.

Teams ranged from two young women just either side of the age divide to one male duo with a combined age of 79.

Just days before, the club had its annual men’s and ladies’ tournament, with Paul Cowling and Jeremy Toye topping the men's section and Helena Trump and Sam Armstrong winning their draw.

The next Great British Tennis Weekend will be on Saturday, June 21 when the courts will be open for anyone to book a game.
