Power cut hits homes in Wellington and surrounding areas

- Power cut hit homes in Wellington, Chelston, Nynehead and West Buckland.
- Homes in parts of Taunton and Devon were also affected.
- Supplies were restored at around 12noon.

Power has been restored to some homes but engineers are still working on the fault so supplies may go off and on again.
WPD says there is a high voltage fault in the area. Engineers are currently fault finding so people may see their power going off and on.

DOZENS of homes in the Wellington area are currently without power.
Western Power Distribution (WPD) says it is dealing with power cuts in Wellington, Nynehead, Chelston and some parts of Taunton.
There are also believed to be problems in West Buckland.
Some homeowners have experienced their power tripping on and off and disruption is likely until around 1.30pm, WPD said.
