TAUNTON firefighters got an early morning call to a basement flat in Trull Road, after heavy rain caused a flood.
Crews arrived shortly after 4.30pm, and found the flat "extensively flooded".
A fire service spokesman said: "Fire crews requested the attendance of British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Services Support to render further assistance to the occupants of the flat.
"Fire crews redirected the rainwater to limit any further flooding. This incident was left in the hands of the occupants."
