PIRATES joined landlubbers at St Peter’s School in Williton last Friday to help teach children about recycling.
The school’s Pirate Day was to reinforce work on reducing, reusing and recycling.
Pupils and staff dressed up as pirates, but with a twist. Their entire costume, including accessories, had to be made from reused or recycled materials.
Parent James Allen was captain of the school’s very own pirate ship which was build out of cardboard around the adventure playground.
It was certainly a pirate’s life for pupils as they had to make their own telescope and treasure map before baking some goods and setting out on a treasure hunt in the school grounds.
