THE Fire Service was called to a home near Taunton last night (June 14) after a little girl got locked in a toilet.

One fire team from Taunton was sent to a report of a four-year-old girl locked in the downstairs toilet of a home in Newlands Crescent, Ruishton, at 5.30pm.

The child was released from the room by the crew using small tools.

What a waste of money calling out the emergency services for this. What if a serious emergency like a house fire needed the truck when it was tied up with this non emergency. Try breaking the door down or calling a locksmith next time.

Surely the parents could of got the child out. What a waste of emergency services time. Not hard to break a door down or get it open, maybe try fitting locks that can be open on the outside of the door aswell.
