DUNSTER Castle made a starring role last Wednesday, when a well known presenter of a long-running BBC programme went along to film.
Paul Martin, from BBC’s Flog It!, visited the castle to film links for the programme.
Stephen Hayes, property administrator at Dunster Castle said: “We were approached by the BBC a few months ago as a potential location for their presenter Paul Martin to film the links between the different elements of the programme such as the valuation and auction days.
“As we are now open seven days a week, we worked with the production team to make sure the filming day went smoothly.”
The next series of Flog It! will feature in a new format, and as a result, Dunster Castle and its beautiful gardens will feature in four programmes.
Flog it! location manager, Alex Habgood, said: “Dunster Castle is an ideal location for us to record some of Paul Martin’s pieces to camera for the 13th series of Flog It!
“It has an extremely rich, varied history, and is full of wonderful stories. “And of course, the grounds look great on camera.”
The Castle’s halls, main staircase, the newly illuminated Leather Gallery and the Library were all used as places to shoot.
