BISHOPS Lydeard Primary School hosted a tea party to thank a group of adults with learning disabilities who have helped to spruce up the school for summer.
Adults from Green Days Day Care have been doing work voluntarily at the school, including cleaning, building, making flower beds, artwork in toilets, and painting fences and a dolls house.
Mary Clothier, head teacher, said: “The work Green Days have been doing for the school has been outstanding.
“It has made a massive impact on the reception class outside learning opportunities; they are now able to use the outside space and use the newly made flower beds and large sandpit.
“The children love coming to school after a holiday or weekend to see what other amazing work Green Days have done. I can’t thank them enough and think it’s great to see how a community can work together.”
