PEOPLE of all ages grabbed their bikes and headed out for the 50/50 cycle ride at Somerset College.
Families out for a day of fun and keen riders pedalled the 2.6km route at Longrun Meadows, Taunton, to raise money for the Rotary Club of Taunton's four chosen charities as well as their own.
The Mayor of Taunton Deane, Dave Durdan, also made an appearance to support the fundraising efforts.
Cllr Durdan said: “It was a great day and the weather was lovely, a little too hot for some though.
"One rider who tickled my sense of humour was on a quad bike with a basket and a deer stalker hat on, I asked him 'are you going on a picnic?'
“Overall, it was a great event for people of all ages. It was my first time there and it was a good first impression. I try to get out to as many events like this as I can and offer my support.”
