THIS summer, Fyne Court becomes the backdrop to the world's greatest love story, Romeo and Juliet.
Performed by The Lord Chamberlain's Men, the romantic tragedy marks the company's 10th Anniversary.
Mark Puddle, creative director of the company said: “The Lord Chamberlain's Men was William Shakespeare's original company founded in 1594.
“Its modern incarnation was formed in 2004 and is a recreation of what the company might have been like in Elizabethan times. “To that end, our cast is all male.
“It always takes an audience one minute to get used to the idea of seeing a male in a dress.
“The aim is to perform Shakespeare's plays as he would have performed them.”
Visitors are encouraged to bring rugs, chairs and picnics to enjoy the play on August 4, starting at 7.30pm.
The tea room will also be open for drinks, cakes and ice cream. Tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 for children.
They can be purchased by calling -844-249-1895 or visiting www.nationaltrust.org.uk/fyne-court
