TENNIS clubs across Taunton are experiencing a flurry of interest in the game thanks to an annual hit of Wimbledon fever.
The two-week tournament combined with some summer sunshine has heightened participation in tennis – and Kerry Quirk, manager of Taunton Tennis Centre at Blackbrook Pavillion, says enquiries about coaching have soared.
She said: “The return of Wimbledon this fortnight and the sun shining has meant we have seen more people playing tennis both indoors and outdoors.”
