A FIRM of accountants that has entered four teams in a day/night sponsored walk is urging other companies to follow suit.
Staff at Taunton-based Albert Goodman will be walking seven or 14 miles at the Moonraker event at Taunton Racecourse, Corfe, on Saturday, October 11.
The Taunton Vale Rotary Club competition is raising money for the Children’s Hospice South West.
Stacey Phipps, of Albert Goodman, said: “Taking on a seven- or 14-mile walk in the dark will be a new experience for most of us, but we're really enthusiastic about having a go and raising money for the children's hospice.
“We hope that lots of other firms in the town will take up the challenge too.”
Organiser Rob Clasby, of Taunton Vale Rotary, said: “We started planning early and entries are well up on last year.
“We'd particularly like to see more firms like Albert Goodman entering teams - it's a really enjoyable way of building team spirit in a busy office.”
