NO further delays have been reported - traffic in Taunton appear to be flowing as normal.


AVON and Somerset Police confirmed that the incident involved two vehicles on Billet Street, near Hurdle Way.

Police and fire services were called to the scene at around 1.44pm where three people had been involved in the collision. No one was trapped and the fire brigade did not need to cut anyone from the vehicles.

Early reports suggest no persons involved were seriously injured.


A NEARBY security guard on Silver Street said: "I heard the crash and came out to see what had happened. I didn't see it happen and I'm not sure what time it happened."


Somerset County Gazette:

A RED Peugeot 206 and a red Citroen Saxo were involved in the collision.

The car pictured (Peugeot) has suffered heavy damage to the front of the vehicle while the Citroen sustained damage to the driver's side door and front end.
