BEER drinkers have helped raise more than £2,000 for Somerset’s flood victims.
Wadworth Brewery in Devizes, Wiltshire, has handed over £2,046 to the Somerset Community Foundation’s Flood Relief Fund after agreeing to donate 5p for every pint of Wadworth 6X sold during April and May.
In total, over 40,000 pints were sold.
Wadworth Brewery chairman Charles Bartholomew said: “The floods were a desperate time for the communities around our pubs and we were determined to help.”
