A BRITISH serviceman who survived one of the most horrific moments of the Falklands conflict will tell his story in Taunton this autumn.

Simon Weston OBE was aboard HMS Sir Galahad when she was bombed by two Argentine planes.

Against the odds, he managed to escape the burning and buckled ship, but only after suffering 46% burns.

Today, he is one of the most recognised faces of the conflict, which saw 655 Argentine and 255 British soldiers killed in the summer of 1982.

Tickets are now on sale to hear Simon tell his no holds barred story on Saturday, October 4, at the Brewhouse Theatre, shedding light on that fateful day over 30 years ago.

He will be joined on stage by former Sky News anchorman and close friend David Fitzgerald.

The show, which is premiering at the Taunton venue, starts at 7.30pm and tickets start at £15 with special rates for students and the military.
