New drop-in hub launched by chaplaincy

REBECCA Pow, who is standing for the Conservatives in Taunton Deane at next year’s General Election, has been along to meet Taunton’s town centre chaplain the Rev Stephen Reed and his team.

During the visit to their Market House office, she discovered how they provide volunteer chaplains to many employers in the town.

Afterwards, Ms Pow said: “I was so pleased to visit the new drop-in hub for Taunton Team Chaplaincy.

“It’s filling a vital niche for people popping in and the chaplaincy volunteers are also doing really useful work among the businesses and people of Taunton – it’s the church that has left the building.”
