TIVERTON Dramatic Society’s latest production is a black comedy written by member Jack Williams.

The British playwright, who was educated in Tiverton began his introduction to theatre there and still lives in the area.

He has been part of many varied productions including The Diary of Ann Frank, Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Dad’s Army, Fiddler on the Roof and pantomimes.

His influences stem from classic British comedies but he is also a music lover of all styles and tries to incorporate music wherever he can in his plays.

His first play, The Birds, the Bees and Therapy was premiered in October 2012. It went on to win two NODA awards, one for original drama, and a district achievement award.

Tiverton Dramatic Society will perform Accidents and Guarding Angels at The New Hall, on October 22 – 25, 2014.
