A NEW club to help budding photographers who are eager to learn more is launching.

Sedgemoor Camera Club, to be based at St George’s Parish Centre, Wembdon, aims to bring photography to the community by helping improve people’s abilities, whatever their level.

The committee was formed by people from all walks of life, some with years of photographic experience and new enthusiasts.

Club recruiting officer Brian Bateman said: “With digital cameras, smartphones, iPads and, yes, selfies, part of our everyday lives, the desire to learn how to take better pictures is greater than ever.

“We want to help each and every member learn new skills and explore the world of photography in a fun and sociable environment.”

“There is a provisional programme in place for the first few weeks until we find out the needs of our members and what they wish to learn.”

Sedgemoor Camera Club launches on September 3 at 7.30pm – for details visit sedgemoorcc.co.uk or email Brian at info@sedgemoorcc.co.uk
