MORRISONS workers in Taunton joined staff at more than 100 stores across the South-West to host the Round the World Cycle Challenge.
The event saw workers ride the 24,902-mile circumference of the world on static bikes to raise money for Sue Ryder, which supports people with complex needs and lifethreatening illnesses.
Samantha Steadman, from the charity, said: “We are very grateful for the support of Morrisons colleagues and customers.
“The money raised will support vital Sue Ryder healthcare services, which will make a huge difference to thousands of families at the most difficult time of their lives.
“It will also enable us to launch a new online support community for the region’s families.”
