THE streets of Ilminster were transformed into an array of colourful outfits as the children's carnival came to town.

Months of preparations saw youngsters take part in a procession through the town in beautifully-crafted outfits as families turned out in their numbers to cheer them along the route.

Youngsters at Greenfylde First School have been designing floats which are on show in Ilminster Hardware.

They also designed umbrellas for a competition run by the carnival committee.
