THE class of 2014 students at Somerset Skills & Learning in Burnham returned last week to receive their qualification certificates.
Students had completed courses in art, design and creative studies, sugarcraft, RSA horticulture and computing.
They were presented with their awards by curriculum manager for the arts Paula Hobson.
Paula said: “I don’t often get a chance to meet the learners, so award ceremonies like this are a great way of celebrating their successes.
“I was very impressed by the number of distinctions and highly commended results they all achieved.”
The presentation was followed by cream teas, with the scones baked by the sugarcraft tutor herself.
Learners were able to catch up with each other and find out what they had been doing over the summer.
Many of them were returning to Somerset Skills & Learning to further develop their skills.
