THE Curry Rivel News group, which publishes the village’s monthly newsletter, has published a new book showing how it has changed over the years.
Curry Rivel Past and Present contains more than 80 pages of black and white and colour photographs.
News group members Jane Hamlin and Laurina Deacon have spent months collecting old photographs and researching the stories behind them, while local photographers Christopher Whitehead and Edward Pratt have taken the pictures to show how the old scenes look now.
It is the second book of photos by the news group – the first volume sold out within weeks of its publication in 2000.
The latest volume can be bought from the post office for £7.95.
People can also order a copy, for £10.95 including postage and packaging, from The Curry Rivel News Group, c/o Curry Rivel Post Office, High St, Curry Rivel, TA10 0EY. Cheques should be made payable to Curry Rivel Newsletter.
