GLASTONBURY Festival 2015 tickets sold out in less than half an hour today (October 5).

Hundreds of thousands of potential festival goers were logged on to ticket lines when they opened at 9am.

Within 25 minutes, organisers say they sold 120,000 tickets to go to Worthy Farm, in Pilton.

A list of who is playing has not been revealed yet.

A statement from the festival said: "We're humbled by the incredible numbers of people who would like to come to the Festival - and it's clear that demand once again outstripped supply this year.

Emily Eavis, co-organiser of Glastonbury Festival with her dad Michael, tweeted at 9.22am that half the tickets had sold out.

It was announced the rest were gone by 9.28am. For those who did get tickets, it can take up to four hours for a confirmation email to arrive.

Last year it took one hour and 27 minutes. This year you could buy up to six tickets, not four, and last year ticket seller See Tickets had 30 minutes of technical problems.

On Wednesday 15,000 coach tickets sold out in 14 minutes.
