CHILDREN at St John’s Primary School donned their bright jackets this October to help Somerset County Council raise awareness during the School Crossing Patrol Awareness Week.
Pupils from the school, accompanied by council mascot Sparky the Dragon, helped promote the latest campaign ‘Stop Means Stop’ by the Somerset County Council’s Road Safety team, which ran from October 13-18.
Janet Lloyd, Deputy Mayor of Wellington, was also on hand to present a certificate to lollipop man Andy Fudge for his long service to the community.
