THE Wellington School annual quiz and Christmas Fair were both a great success, with pupils donning fancy dress to take part.

The quiz, organised by former housemaster and Head of Lower School David Joseph and his wife, Felicity, was attended by 200, including over 90 members of the Sixth Form.

Held at the Alan Rogers Centre, students came as aristocrats, Baywatch, men of power, Toy Story, hippies, ancient Egyptians and the European Union as well as the Jamaican bobsleigh team from Cool Running!

Mr Joseph said: “This was the best quiz we have organised since my wife and I took over 18 years ago.

“The conduct of the students, and the effort they put in to their amazing display of costumes, their participation fully in the quiz itself and their exemplary behaviour made it a most enjoyable evening for everyone.”

Both events were run by the Friends of Wellington School committee as part of the school’s commitment to the community.
